The first cave drawings of early man were of the Aurochs, a central figure in early religion, spirituality and mythology.  For thousands of years it was a creature revered and worshipped.  In the Middle Ages the Aurochs became the central currency of a European economy, wealth measured by each head or “Caput” the Latin root of the word “Capitalism.”  By 1627 they were gone—the last one dying on a nature preserve as a rich man’s toy.
